LANZAROTE, Spain is part of the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa. As part of an annexed territory of Spain, Lanzarote has its own international airport, Arrecife, and you need not go to the Spanish mainland to go this exotic island. Lanzarote actually hosts 5.5 million tourists a year. International flights come mostly from European cities such as London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and even Helsinki with such reputable carriers as British Airways, Iberia Airlines and Spanish’s own flagship, Air Europa. With traffic as congested as that, Lanzarote surely has a very hospitable weather pattern even when it is not yet as popular as ibiza spain ocio nocturno.
Weather MAP viewLanzarote, Spain is also encircled with trade winds. These are winds blowing towards the African coast coming in from its tropical counterparts. The island is also an ideal place to visit if you are someone coming from India or any other country where the weather is very humid. Rainy season in Lanzarote is during December and January. Be sure to go the northern part of the island, particularly in Famara Massif, for maximum enjoyment of the downpours. For the rest of the year though, you’ll have to endure the scorching but refreshing heat of the sun. In any Canary island, beaches are always the most attractive place to visit. Lanzarote, Spain is not different from that. And you need to know the temperature of the beaches too should you want to venture into skimboarding or plunge into deep sea diving. Located in the Atlantic Ocean, the waters surrounding the 845 kilometer Lanzarote coastline has temperatures of 22 degrees Celsius in the summertime and 17 degrees during wintertime. On the contrary, the temperature will rise to 40 degrees Celsius during those sandstorms but don’t worry because these will only last a few minutes and the TV weather forecasters in Lanzarote climate always announce them beforehand. So if you’ll know there’s a sandstorm coming, all you need to do is turn up your AC unit and cuddle your girlfriend. Hmm…that’s not bad either, right? After taking a taste of Lanzarote weather pattern, some tourists have even preferred settling down here for good. Just take a look at the following temperatures by month all in Celsius: January – 17, February – 17.5, March – 18.5, April – 19, May – 20.2, June – 21.9, July – 23.8, August – 24.7, September – 24.4, October – 22.5, November – 20.3 and December – 18.1.
